An amazing foundation, Blue4Beban (, will be celebrating the winners of its annual writing contest.

I will be there to listen to the award-winning pieces, to talk with young authors about their work, to give insights into becoming an author and living the writer’s life, and to answer questions (I love questions).

Friday, April 11, 2014: Poetry Slam Contest

I’ll be one of the judges at Saint Francis High School’s annual poetry slam.

Yet another chance for me to be moved and inspired by high school students and their creativity and poise.

Thursday, March 6, 2014: Los Altos High School Writers’ Week

Visiting classes, talking about being a writer, sharing my work, and engaging students in fun, short writing exercises.
